It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since I had the honour of being part of Siobhan and Grant’s beautiful wedding day.
Reflecting on it now, I’m reminded of just how special and emotional the day was, and how grateful I am to have played a small role in it.
The wedding was made possible by the incredible charity Gift of a Wedding, who brought together an amazing team of suppliers to create a dream day for Siobhan and Grant. Being asked to do Siobhan’s makeup was not only a privilege but also one of those experiences that stays with you forever.
Siobhan’s makeup reflected her natural beauty, timeless and glowing, just as she had envisioned. Her stunning red hair and the beautiful smile she wore all day made her a joy to work with, and I still feel so proud to have helped her feel her very best.
I’ll never forget the moment Siobhan walked down the aisle, her son proudly by her side. It was, without a doubt, one of the most emotional moments I’ve ever experienced as a makeup artist. The love and strength between them was palpable, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Seeing her radiant, confident, and happy as she took that walk will always be a memory I treasure.
The entire day was captured beautifully by VP Photography Sussex, who did an incredible job of preserving the memories that mean so much to Siobhan and her family. From the smallest details to the most emotional moments, their photos tell the story of a day filled with love, strength, and togetherness.
Looking back on days like this, it reminds me why I love what I do. Weddings are about so much more than the flowers, dresses, or makeup, they’re about creating moments, celebrating love, and supporting each other through life’s most meaningful times.
